For most high-street businesses the shop window is the most valuable advertising space they have, and the hardest place to run a screen. Daylight on the glass washes out an ordinary indoor display. A window-facing screen is built with much higher brightness so the picture stays readable from the pavement.
High-Brightness Shop Window Displays (view the range) are listed at 32, 43, 49, 55, 65, 75, 85 and 98 inch, with brightness from 1,000 to 2,500 nits. They come in single-sided designs that face the street, or double-sided designs that also face into the shop, and are installed hanging from the ceiling or on a floor stand, with several stand styles to choose from. For a slim two-faced unit there is also the Double-Sided Display (view the range), a 55-inch reference design whose panel technology is confirmed at quotation.
These screens sit inside the glass, so they are indoor products, not weatherproof ones. What they show is usually time-sensitive: opening hours, today's offers, new listings, this week's menu. That makes digital signage content management worth thinking about early. It is scoped separately from the hardware, around who updates the window and how often it changes.
