Some of the most useful advertising positions are the wrong shape for a normal screen: the edge of a shelf, the strip above a counter, the header of a fixture, the space over a bus doorway. A stretched bar display is a long, narrow screen made for those places.

Because the shape is unusual, content is the thing to plan. A price strip, a scrolling message or a run of product images works well; a standard advert will not fit without redesign. If the strip needs to show prices or availability from another system, that is a software integration to scope. Digital signage content management is quoted separately from the hardware.

Choosing
A standard screen suits content that already exists: adverts, video, menus laid out as pages. A stretched bar suits a space that is wide and shallow, or tall and narrow, where a standard screen would not fit or would look lost. If you have the room for a standard screen, it is usually the simpler choice for content.
Two brightness levels are listed. 300 nits suits ordinary indoor positions such as shelving inside a store. 700 nits suits brighter interiors, for example near a shop front or in a vehicle with large windows. Neither is a window-facing or outdoor product; those needs are met by the shop window and outdoor ranges.
The wall-mounted version is a finished display in a black or white casing. The open-frame version is intended to be built into shelving, fixtures or vehicle trim by a shopfitter or integrator, who provides the surround, fixing and ventilation. Decide early, because it affects how the display is supplied and installed.
The sixteen listed sizes do not share one aspect ratio. Each has its own proportions and pixel dimensions, which are confirmed per configuration. Give us the width and height of the space you want to fill and we will suggest the closest size, then confirm the exact format your designer should work to.

The range lists 19.5, 24, 28.1, 28.6, 34, 35.4, 36.2, 36.8, 37.6, 43, 43.9, 48.8, 49.5, 58.4, 68.2 and 80 inch. Those are diagonal measurements, which say little about a long, narrow screen, so tell us the width and height of the space and we will confirm the outline dimensions of the closest size with your quotation.
It varies by size, and the range information does not give a single figure, so we do not quote one. The aspect ratio and pixel dimensions are confirmed for your configuration. Your designer needs those exact figures before producing content.
Standard 16:9 adverts do not fit a long strip: they would appear small with empty space either side, or be heavily cropped. Content made for the strip works far better, such as a run of products, a price line or a scrolling message. Our design and branding service can adapt existing artwork.
Yes, that is what the open-frame version is for. Your shopfitter or fixture maker builds it into the unit and is responsible for the surround, fixing, ventilation and access for servicing. A vehicle installation also depends on the power supply and mounting, and the vehicle power input is not stated for this range, so it is confirmed for your configuration.
