Kiosk Craft Holographic Display Showcase

Family reference Ref KC-S02

The range is described in full below.

A showcase for the product you most want people to stop and look at. Animated content is reflected into a glass viewing chamber so that it appears to hover around a real object placed inside. The effect is holographic-style: it is produced by reflection, and it is not a free-floating hologram.

Overview

About this range

The Kiosk Craft Holographic Display Showcase is a presentation enclosure. A screen built into the unit plays specially prepared content, angled glass reflects it into the viewing chamber, and the image appears to sit in mid-air next to a physical product placed inside. We describe it as holographic-style because the image is a reflection seen through glass, not a hologram floating in open space.

The catalogue lists four viewing formats: 180°, 270° and 360°, plus an inverted 360° form. The figure indicates the angle the effect can be viewed from, so, for example, a 180° unit suits a position against a wall while a 360° unit suits an island position that people walk around. Desktop and floor-standing installations are listed, in black, white or a custom colour.

Screen sizes from 19 to 55 inch are referenced. Separately, the catalogue mentions a large-format installation of around 2 × 2 metres. We treat that as a project-specific build, not a catalogue size, and scope it individually. A capacitive touchscreen in a 10.1 to 32 inch range can be built in as a separate control screen, for example to let visitors choose what plays. The interaction itself is software that we scope separately.

The effect depends on content made for it: typically a product animation on a black background, laid out for the number of viewing sides. Content preparation is not included with the hardware and is quoted separately. Scheduling can be scoped through digital signage content management, and a touch-driven experience can be built as bespoke software around the way you present your products.

Installation considerations

Planning the installation

  1. Position the showcase away from direct sunlight and strong spotlights. A reflected image is dimmer than the screen that produces it, so the effect is strongest in controlled lighting.

  2. Match the viewing format to the position: for example a 180° unit against a wall, a 270° unit at the end of a run and a 360° unit where people can walk all the way round.

  3. Desktop units need a stable counter or plinth that can carry the weight, which is confirmed with your quotation. Floor-standing units need a level floor and a power outlet close by.

  4. Plan how staff will place and change the product inside the chamber, and confirm access and locking arrangements for the selected model.

  5. Content has to be prepared for the selected viewing format before installation. Allow time for it in the project plan.

  6. Where a touchscreen is included, the interactive software is scoped and tested separately from the hardware.

Frequently asked questions

Questions about holographic display showcases

Is this a true hologram?

No. The image is produced by reflecting a screen in angled glass, so it appears to float inside the viewing chamber next to the real product. It is a holographic-style effect seen through glass, not a hologram projected into open space, and we describe it that way so that expectations are clear.

What do the 180°, 270° and 360° formats mean?

The figure indicates the angle the effect can be viewed from: the front only, the front and both sides, or all the way round. The catalogue also lists an inverted 360° form. The right format depends on where the showcase will stand and how people approach it.

What sizes are available?

Screen sizes from 19 to 55 inch are referenced, and the sizes offered in each viewing format are confirmed with your quotation. The catalogue also mentions a large-format installation of around 2 × 2 metres. That is a separate, project-specific build which we scope individually; it is not a screen size.

Do we need special content?

Yes. The effect relies on content prepared for it, typically a product animation on a black background laid out for the number of viewing sides. Ordinary adverts will not give the floating effect. Content preparation is quoted separately from the hardware.

Can visitors interact with it?

A capacitive touchscreen in a 10.1 to 32 inch range can be built in as a separate control screen. The hardware makes interaction possible; what visitors can choose and what then plays is software that we scope and quote separately.

What about price, lead time and warranty?

Kiosk Craft is quote-led. The price, lead time, warranty and support terms for your format, size and options are set out in the quotation, with hardware, content and software quoted separately.
