Full-screen digital posters in large formats

Large-format freestanding posters from 64.2 to 80 inch where the picture fills the front of the unit, used singly or joined side by side.
Full-screen digital poster with a tall edge-to-edge portrait display in a slim black frame on a flat base, seen at an angle

A full-screen digital poster is a tall freestanding display in which the picture runs close to the edges of the unit, so it reads as one large image and not as a screen set into a cabinet. It suits places where advertising has to hold its own in a big space: a cinema foyer, a shopping centre mall, an airport concourse, a museum or a hotel lobby.

Full-Screen Digital Posters (view the range) are listed at 64.2, 65, 68.2, 69.3 and 80 inch, with a metal housing, aluminium frame and tempered glass front, at 400 nits for indoor use. The panels use non-standard formats of 3840 × 1350 and 3840 × 1440 pixels, not the usual 16:9 shape. Several posters can stand side by side and show one picture across the group, or each can run its own content.

The format is the main planning point. Artwork and video have to be produced for the panel's own pixel dimensions, so the content plan belongs in the project from the start, not after delivery. The range is listed with an Android configuration and an HDMI input, and digital signage content management is scoped separately. For smaller sizes, see freestanding advertising displays.

Choosing

How the options differ

The decisions that separate one option from another, and what each one depends on.
  1. Step 1

Full-screen poster or standard freestanding display

Indoor freestanding displays are the general-purpose choice, listed from 21.5 to 96 inch. Full-screen posters are larger and more striking, from 64.2 to 80 inch, but use their own pixel formats, so content is produced for them. Choose the poster when visual impact in a large space matters more than reusing existing content.

  2. Step 2

    Understanding the screen format

The panels are listed at 3840 × 1350 and 3840 × 1440 pixels. They share their long dimension with 4K UHD but are not the standard 3840 × 2160 format, so we state the pixels and do not call them standard 4K. Which format applies to which size is confirmed with your quotation, and your designer will need those exact dimensions.

  3. Step 3

One poster or a joined group

The range lists joined-screen and split-screen display. Several posters can stand side by side and carry one image across them, and a single poster can be divided into zones, for example a film above and offers below. The frames between units remain visible, so artwork for a group is planned with the joins in mind. Both depend on the player and software configuration, which is confirmed for your project.

  4. Step 4

    Display only or touch

Infrared or capacitive touch is listed as available. Touch on a poster this size suits browsing, such as a store directory or an exhibition guide. It is an option to specify at the start, along with the software that will use it.

Questions

Full-screen digital posters: frequently asked questions

Can I play standard 16:9 video on a full-screen poster?

Not without compromise. The panels are a different shape from 16:9, so standard video would have to be cropped, scaled or placed inside a larger layout. Results are far better with artwork and video produced at the panel's own pixel dimensions. If you do not have a designer who can do that, our design and branding service can help.

Are full-screen posters 4K?

We state the pixels instead: 3840 × 1350 and 3840 × 1440. These share a 3,840-pixel dimension with 4K UHD, but they are non-standard formats, not the 3840 × 2160 that 4K UHD means. The format for your chosen size is confirmed with your quotation.

Can several posters show one continuous image?

The range lists joined-screen display, so several posters standing side by side can carry one wide picture. The frames between the units stay visible, as they do on any multi-screen display, and how the group is driven and synchronised is confirmed for your configuration. For a larger single image built from panels, compare this with an LCD video wall, which also has visible joins.

Can a full-screen poster go in a window or outdoors?

It is an indoor product listed at 400 nits, with no weather rating. For a window-facing position choose a shop window display, and for outside the building choose an outdoor advertising display.

What should we check on site before ordering?

These are large units, so check the delivery route as well as the final position: door heights and widths, lifts, stairs and floor space. The position needs a power socket, and a network connection if content is to be updated over a network. Let us know about any access limits in your enquiry.

Tell us what you need
