Wall-mounted advertising displays for indoor spaces

Slim indoor screens from 10.1 to 98 inch for shops, restaurants, hotels and stations, plus lift screens and wood-frame art displays.

A wall-mounted display keeps the floor clear and puts your message at eye level: behind a counter, along a corridor, in a waiting area or beside a lift. Once it is up it becomes part of the room, so it is worth choosing the size, position and orientation with the same care as any other fitting.

Wall-Mounted Advertising Displays (view the range) are the general-purpose choice, with written sizes from 10.1 to 98 inch, 300 to 450 nits, Full HD resolution with 4K as an option, and a black metal casing with a tempered glass front. Lift Advertising Screens (view the range) are slim small-format units for lift cars and lobbies, as single 18.5 or 21.5-inch screens or combined two-screen units. Wood-Frame Art Displays (view the range), from 21.5 to 49 inch, put the screen in a picture-style frame for interiors where a black rectangle would look out of place.

Think about the job before the screen. A display behind a takeaway counter may really be a menu board. A row of screens in different branches needs someone to keep them consistent. The wall range lists standalone playback from USB media as well as Android or Windows configurations, and digital signage content management is scoped separately around who updates the screens and how often.

Choosing

How the options differ

The decisions that separate one option from another, and what each one depends on.
  1. Step 1

General-purpose display, lift screen or art display

Wall-mounted advertising displays cover most needs, with written sizes from 10.1 to 98 inch. Lift advertising screens are small, slim units listed as single 18.5 or 21.5-inch screens or combined two-screen units. Wood-frame art displays, from 21.5 to 49 inch, are chosen for their appearance in galleries, hotels and restaurants. Each range has its own sizes, finishes and playback options.

  2. Step 2

    Matching size to viewing distance

Small formats from 10.1 to 21.5 inch suit close-up positions such as a till point or a lift car. Sizes from 32 to 55 inch suit counters and waiting areas. Sizes from 65 to 98 inch suit large walls and long viewing distances. Tell us roughly how far away people will be and what they need to read, and we will suggest a size.

  3. Step 3

    Full HD or 4K

The wall range is listed in Full HD (1920 × 1080) with 4K as an option. Full HD is sufficient for most advertising content. 4K is worth considering on large screens viewed at close range, or where content includes fine text and detailed imagery. Your content also has to be produced at the higher resolution to benefit.

  4. Step 4

    USB playback, Android or Windows

Standalone playback from USB media suits one screen with content that rarely changes. Android or Windows configurations suit networked screens and content management. Lift screens are listed with USB or Android options, and wood-frame art displays with USB, Android or Windows. The supported platform version is confirmed with your quotation.

  5. Step 5

The wall, the power and the cables

A wall display needs a wall that can carry it, fixings suited to the wall construction, and power and any network cable brought to the position, ideally hidden behind the screen. These points are easier to settle before the decorators finish than after. They are covered when installation is planned with you.

Questions

Wall-mounted advertising displays: frequently asked questions

What sizes do wall-mounted advertising displays come in?

The wall-mounted range lists 10.1, 13.3, 15.6, 18.5, 21.5, 23.8, 27, 32, 43, 49, 55, 65, 75, 85, 86 and 98 inch. Lift advertising screens are listed at 18.5 and 21.5 inch, with combined two-screen units, and wood-frame art displays at 21.5, 24, 27, 32, 43 and 49 inch. Availability of a particular size is confirmed with your quotation.

Are wall-mounted displays bright enough to face a shop window?

The wall-mounted range is listed at 300 to 450 nits, which is an indoor brightness level. It works well on interior walls but will look washed out behind glass in daylight. For a window-facing position, look at shop window displays, which are listed at 1,000 to 2,500 nits.

Can a wall-mounted display be installed in portrait?

Lift advertising screens are listed for portrait or landscape use, and wood-frame art displays for horizontal and vertical hanging. For the general wall-mounted range the orientation is not stated in the range information, so if you need portrait we confirm it for the selected size with your quotation. Tell us the orientation you want when you enquire, because content is designed differently for each.

Is a wall bracket included?

Mounting hardware is matched to the selected display and to your wall, and what is supplied is set out in your quotation. If you are fitting displays at several sites, or onto unusual surfaces such as glass partitions or tiled walls, mention it in your enquiry so it can be planned under installation and rollout.

Can one person update screens in several locations?

That is what networked content management is for, and it can be scoped for your project. With Android or Windows configurations on a network, one person or team can schedule content for every screen, with local variations where needed. It is scoped and quoted separately from the hardware: see digital signage content management.

Tell us what you need

Describe what the screen needs to do and where it will go. We will recommend the right hardware and software and confirm the configuration in a written quotation.
