Solutions

Solutions that join hardware, software and the way you work

A kiosk or a screen is only part of the answer. Each Kiosk Craft solution starts with the job you need done, then brings together suitable hardware and software scoped around your business. Choose the need closest to yours, or ask us for advice.

Start with the job, not the product

Most projects begin with a question such as "which kiosk should we buy?". A better first question is what the person at the screen needs to get done, and what has to happen behind the scenes when they do it.

That is how these pages are organised. Each solution sets out the business problem, how the solution works step by step, which hardware families fit, what software has to be scoped, and what depends on other parties such as your payment provider or booking system.

Choose a solution

  • Self-service ordering

Let customers browse, build and place their own orders at a countertop, wall-mounted or freestanding kiosk, with menu data, modifiers and prompts scoped around your menu.

  • Payment kiosks

Take payment without a staffed till. We set out precisely what the kiosk provides, what your payment provider provides and what has to be integrated.

  • Digital advertising

Choose displays by location, whether indoor, window-facing or outdoor, and plan how content is scheduled and who keeps it up to date.

  • Wayfinding

Directories and maps that help visitors find their own way, designed with reach, contrast and text size in mind and kept current by your own team.

  • Check-in

Reception, visitor, appointment and guest check-in, scoped as an integration with the booking or visitor system you already use.

  • Restaurant workflow

Join the cashier station, ordering kiosk, kitchen and collection screen into one order flow, starting from three illustrative configurations.

Three parts to every solution

Your business requirement

What customers or staff must be able to do.

  • Goal
  • Location
  • Customers
It sets the scope for everything else.
Chosen to suit the requirement:

Hardware

  • Kiosk
  • Display
  • Mounting
  • Peripherals
Scoped around the requirement:

Software

  • Customer interface
  • Content
  • Integrations
  • AI-assisted sales management

Deployment and support

Planned for the whole solution, not one part of it.

  • Installation
  • Rollout
  • Support
  • Ongoing management
Every solution joins three things: the hardware, the software and your business requirement. Change one and the other two usually need to change with it.

How to choose

Many projects span more than one solution. Work through these four questions in order and the right combination becomes much easier to see.
  • Start with the task

What does the person at the screen need to do: order, pay, find something, check in, or simply see a message? That decides whether you need a touchscreen kiosk or a display.

  • Then the location

Counter, wall, floor, window or outdoors. Location drives the enclosure, the brightness and the environmental protection far more than screen size does.

  • Then the connections

List every system the screen must exchange data with, such as a till, a payment provider, a booking system or a content library. Each connection is scoped work that also depends on the other party.

  • Then the upkeep

Decide who will change menus, maps or adverts, and how often. That decides how much content management you need.

What this includes — and what it does not

What a solution includes

A Kiosk Craft solution is a combination we put together for your project: hardware that we supply and configure, and software that we design and build around your requirements. Hardware, software development and ongoing management are described and quoted separately.

These pages do not describe a finished platform that can simply be switched on. Integrations with tills, payment providers, booking systems and other software depend on the agreed scope and on what the third party makes available.

Not sure which solution fits?

Answer a few questions in Find your solution and it will suggest suitable hardware and software. You can also browse by industry, or request advice and describe the problem in your own words.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to buy hardware and software together?

No. Hardware, software development and ongoing management are described and quoted separately, so you can ask us to quote for hardware, for software, or for both. We will tell you if one cannot sensibly work without the other.

Can one project combine more than one solution?

Yes. For example, a restaurant might combine self-service ordering, payment and menu boards, and a hotel might combine check-in, wayfinding and advertising displays. We scope them together so that hardware, data and support are shared where that makes sense.

What if my requirement is not listed here?

Tell us about it. These six pages cover common needs, but software is scoped per project, so an unusual requirement is not a problem in itself. Describe what you need to happen and we will say plainly whether we can help.

Tell us what you need to solve

Describe the task, the location and the systems involved. We will recommend suitable hardware and outline the software to scope, with each part quoted separately.
