Check that the display has a free HDMI input and find out its native resolution before the player is specified.
Decide where the player will sit: behind the screen, inside a cabinet or in a nearby comms cupboard. Fixing method and cable lengths follow from that.
The player needs its own power outlet and ventilation. Do not seal it into an unventilated void behind a screen.
Choose the network route early: wired, Wi-Fi or mobile data. Check Wi-Fi coverage or mobile signal at the exact position, not just in the room.
