Overview
Where there is no wall to fix to — a drive lane, a forecourt, the approach to a gate or a garden-centre yard — an outdoor freestanding kiosk brings the ordering point to the customer. It stands on its own pedestal or base, so it can be placed where vehicles or people actually queue.
Five designs are pictured. One is a 21.5 inch unit with a wide head, a recessed position for a card terminal beside the screen and a bolt-down pedestal. Two are tall 32 inch slabs on dark base plates, one white and one grey, the grey one with a hooded card-terminal bracket at the side. Two are 32 inch canopy designs on bolt-down pedestals: one with a flat, angular canopy and one with a curved canopy, each with the card-terminal position on the front beneath the screen.

Pedestal designs bolt down to a prepared, level concrete base. Base plate and fixing details are confirmed with your quotation, so that your contractor can prepare the ground.
Power and network cables are normally ducted to the base position. Outdoor electrical work should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Tell us how exposed the position is, which way the screen faces and how much direct sun it gets. The rating and brightness are confirmed for the selected model.
In drive lanes, consider vehicle protection such as kerbs or bollards, and decide whether the kiosk serves drivers, pedestrians or both — screen height and reach differ.
Decide who changes paper rolls and how the unit is opened for servicing in bad weather, and leave clearance around it.
Think about lighting and security at the position, particularly for unattended use after dark.
