Overview
A countertop kiosk gives customers somewhere to order and pay without taking any floor space. It stands on the counter, bar or reception desk you already have, which suits sites where the queue forms at the till and there is no room for a freestanding unit. Staff stay within reach to help, and the rest of the counter carries on working as a counter.
Nine enclosure designs are pictured for this family, with 15.6, 21.5 and 24 inch screen references. Several carry a portrait screen above a base that holds the printer and scanner. Two tilt a landscape screen on a short column. One is a dual-screen terminal with a screen facing each side of the counter, and one is a plain angled desktop unit. Size options differ from design to design, so we confirm the size for the design you choose with your quotation.
Across the ordering range, a 10-point touchscreen, 80 mm thermal receipt printing, QR code scanning and a bracket for a card terminal are stated features. They are range-level statements, not a promise that every design carries every item: what is fitted depends on the enclosure and the configuration you select. An NFC reader function is available as an option, and a camera, microphone, cash or coin acceptance and card dispensing can be built in as custom project options.
The hardware is one part of an ordering point. It also needs ordering software, a menu, and a route to your kitchen and your payment provider. We can assess software you already use, or scope restaurant ordering software and the integrations around your service. Hardware, software development and ongoing management are described and quoted separately.
Suitable applications
Let customers browse the menu and order at the counter while staff prepare food. An example layout is one or two units beside the till, with orders passed to a kitchen printer or kitchen screen.
A desk-top screen for visitor sign-in, appointment check-in or ticket collection, for example at a clinic, hotel or office reception. The check-in software is scoped for the project.
An order point on a service desk or in a collection area, for example for ordering items that are not on the shop floor. Links to stock or order systems are subject to the agreed integration.
Short counters in food courts, cinemas and stadium concessions rarely have spare floor in front of them. A countertop unit adds an ordering point without moving the counter line.
The dual-screen terminal design puts a screen on each side of the counter. That suits assisted ordering, for example where a team member and a customer work through an order together.
Key features
A 10-point projected capacitive touchscreen is stated across the ordering range, so menus respond to taps and swipes the way customers expect from a phone or tablet.
Portrait slab units, landscape screens on a short column, a dual-screen terminal and an angled desktop unit are all pictured, so the enclosure can suit the depth of your counter and the way customers approach it.
80 mm thermal printer configurations with an easy paper-change design are stated for the range. Whether a printer is fitted, and where, depends on the design you choose.
A built-in QR code scanner is stated for the range, and barcode reading is also described. What a scanned voucher, loyalty code or collection code does is decided by your software.
Designs are pictured with a bracket beside the screen or a cradle on the front. The card terminal comes from your payment provider, and we assess bracket fit for your terminal model before quoting.
The scanner can be specified with a 13.56 MHz NFC reader function for cards and tags such as loyalty or staff cards. An NFC reader is not card-payment acceptance.
Black and white finishes are stated for the range. Other colours are available as a custom option, and logo or vinyl branding is assessed with your artwork.
A camera, a microphone, OCR, cash or coin acceptance and card dispensing can be built in as custom project options. Each is assessed against the enclosure you choose.
We can assess the ordering software you already use, or design and build ordering software around your menu, kitchen and payment flow. Software is scoped and quoted separately from the hardware.

Choose a stable counter or desk with enough depth for the base and space behind it for cables. Footprint and weight are confirmed per design with your quotation.
Provide a mains socket and a network connection at the counter position. Connection options are confirmed for your configuration.
Leave clearance to open the printer compartment and change paper rolls without moving the unit.
Think about reach and screen height for standing and seated customers when you choose between portrait and landscape designs.

No. Card terminals are supplied by your payment provider. Depending on the design, the kiosk can have a bracket beside the screen or a cradle on the front, and we assess bracket fit for your terminal model before quoting. How the ordering software talks to the terminal is part of the agreed integration.
No. The NFC reader option reads 13.56 MHz cards and tags — for example loyalty or staff cards — where your software supports them. Contactless card payments are taken by the payment terminal from your payment provider, not by the NFC reader.
Not necessarily. An 80 mm thermal printer and a QR code scanner are stated features of the ordering range, and most countertop designs are pictured with both. Two designs — the dual-screen terminal and the angled desktop unit — are pictured without a printer. We confirm what is fitted to your chosen design with your quotation.
